Getting Started with ShareItNow™

Thank you for choosing Encounter's ShareItNow™ Web Window!

ShareItNow™ Web Window is a very simple to use yet powerful tool that you can use to show anything on your computer's desktop instantly with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Please follow the instructions below to install and begin using ShareItNow™ Web Window.

Installation: (If you have already, installed ShareItNow™, please skip this step)

(Please close all other applications before you install, but leave this page open or use your printed copy to follow the instructions.)

To install the ShareItNow™ Web Window, click here to get the ShareItNow™ application. You will be asked if you want to open the file or save it to your computer. Select "Open" to begin the installation process. You will be asked to enter your Presenter ID (email address). Please enter the email address you used when signing up for your account and click "OK". The installation process will continue until it is completed. You are now ready to begin using ShareItNow™.

Using ShareItNow™ for the first time:

The ShareItNow™ Web Window is easy to start. You can start a session by clicking on
the System Tray icon or by clicking on the Desktop shortcut and selecting "Start Presentation for
Instant Session" from the pop-up menu.

The ShareItNow™ Web Window will start to open. You will be asked to enter your password that you received after signing up. Please enter your password and click OK. (Tip: If you check the Save password box, you will not be required to enter your password for future sessions.) The Presenter Frame will now appear on your screen. It will look like an empty box. Please see the example below.

To begin showing your desktop to your participants, click on the Start button . Your participants will start seeing anything from your desktop that is inside the frame. They will not see anything that is outside the frame. To stop sending images to your participants, click on the Stop button . (This button will only appear when you are sending images) You can resize the frame to any size you want by placing your mouse over any side of the frame and dragging the side where you want it. When you wish to end your session, you may close the presenter frame by clicking on the in the upper right-hand corner of the title bar.

Inviting your Participants:

To invite your partipants to attend your session, please send them to http://www.shareitnow.com. From there, they will need to click on the Join a Meeting button and enter the Presenter ID in the field provided. (The Presenter ID is the email address that you used when you signed up for your ShareItNow™ account). Your participants will then see a web page with images from your desktop that are inside the presenter frame. Please see the example below.

All your participants need to do is sit back and watch your presentation. They can change the size of the viewing area by clicking on the zoom buttons if necessary. To leave your session, they can simply close the window.
