Todo and Nitta have already reached Shibuya with Todo aiding Yuji against Mahito in an awesome battle! Read on to find out what happened in this chapter and what might happen in Jujutsu Kaisen 129 but do make sure that you’ve caught up with the manga to not get spoiled!

JUJUTSU KAISEN 128 Discussion:

This chapter starts with Miwa from the Kyoto school conversing with a Mechamaru coin. It’s revealed that Mechamaru had altered the records in such a way that the Kyoto students with Utahime would be attending to a mission south of Kyoto and hence won’t be involved in the Shibuya incident. He however made it so that Todo and Nitta would make it Shibuya since he predicted that they would survive.

Miwa reacts to this by accusing Mechamaru of seeing them as useless and weak before Mechamaru implies that it was not the case, that he simply wanted them and Miwa to be safe. Miwa cries as Mechamaru’s time runs out and he disappears but only after saying that he wants her to happy.

The other Kyoto folks are also discussing about Mechamaru and feel disappointed at what he did as they are seen in a train to Shibuya. Inside the station Todo and Yuji fight against Mahito. Mahito analyzes and understands that Todo is at his full power while Yuji is not. But the team up against Mahito is seen to be working to an extent. Todo tells himself that he doesn’t want to leave a brother, referring to Yuji, alone again. Todo powers forward against Mahito as Mahito realizes that he took damage from Nobara and it’s slowing him down. Mahito is also not able to deal with Todo’s switching techniques easily.

Todo also finally uses Black Flash this week. Mahito is annoyed. He obviously can’t use his Domain expansion against them because of Sukuna. He then uses soul multiplicity to counter Todo’s switching by attacking him from all sides. The chapter ends with Mahito attacking the duo as he proclaims that this is their last chance to curse each other!

JUJUTSU KAISEN 129 Spoilers And analysis:

We see the Kyoto folks heading to Shibuya but the extent of their involvement is confusing given their Grades. For example, Miwa is a Grade 2 while Maki who is probably lying dead is a Grade 1. So there is this problem of how the Kyoto folks can be incorporated into the Shibuya incident because it feels like they might not really offer a lot here.

There are speculations that Mahito will doe soon but that doesn’t look probable as he’s Yuji’s main foe who Yuji has to defeat to get some development. It looks like the battle with Mahito will end with none of the sides winning. Maybe Fake Getou will interfere and escape with Mahito. It’s unlikely that Todo will die or even get seriously injured after all the possible deaths and injuries characters had this season. For Yuji personally, it’s been bad since he saw Nanami be killed extremely brutally and Nobara suffer a very serious injury and is near death.

Megumi is out of commission and near death again. Maki and Naobito might be dead since they were Namami when they were also attacked initially. Mei mei could be dead. Inumaki is also very probably dead due to Sukuna’s technique. Panda could be dead too. And Gojo is sealed. Nearly all of the prominent Tokyo folks are in bad states so the Kyoto folks might not face the same fate. The arc looks like it’s nearing the climax. Maybe we’ll finally get a revelation of who Brain really is!
