Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon slayer chapter 203 Recap (spoilers) :
Tanjiro is stuck in a cocoon, on the brink of full demonic conversion, literally battling with his inner demon, Muzan who is desperate to take control of Tanjiro and create his heir to the evil throne that Muzan sat on for so long. Nezuko tearful voice is trying to reach Tanjiro entrenched deeply within Muzans grasp, where he longs to go home to peace and enjoy his life with his beloved sister, but simply doesn’t have the strength to push himself up back towards humanity.
Muzan is akin the devil in Tanjiros ear at this point, trying to manipulate Tanjiro, telling him he has nothing to live for, everyone he ever knew is dead, how Tanjiro in his delirious state killed so many people, how they will hate him, even telling Tanjiro that he murdered Nezuko. This is clearly going too far for Tanjiro, who instantly refutes this and calling Muzan a liar. Whatever Tanjiro may have done, he is a man of honour and integrity, if the only thing he can do is grovel and apologise to the people he hurt, then that’s what he’ll do.
Tanjiros famous smelling ability to sniff demons out is useful once again, this time he can smell the anxiety and the worry his comrades are exuding, he knows they want him back, but Muzan won’t let him go, he doesn’t want Tanjiro to get old and wither away like Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the original sun breath user did, he reminds Tanjiro that everyone that manifests the mark on their body have short lives, does Tanjiro really want to stay a limited mortal and die and early death, or does he want a glorious everlasting life?
The toing and froing continues for a while but Tanjiro is gradually lifted by the fallen Hashiras, Rengoku, Himejima, Genya, Shinobu, Obanai, Muichiro, Mitsuri and Genyas arms are seen to push Tanjiro back to life, back to humanity as they even in death, for the last time can save someone from the demons curse. A very powerful moment in the story, where we can confirm the deaths of the Hashira, there is no rescuing these guys, no magic tricks to bring them back to life.
The aroma of Wisteria and Nezukos arms are now grabbing Tanjiro and pulling him away from an increasingly desperate Muzan, raging and babbling how Tanjiro is a rare breed of demon that not even the sun can defeat, how wasteful it is to throw away such a gift, but it’s all to no avail, Tanjiro is heading up to the living, his friends and companions he made along the way, that’s where he belong.
Tanjiro finally awakens, on a bed of Wisteria petals, surrounded by corps medics, his friends and most important, his dear sister Nezuko, who has now become human again. Everyone is delighted to to see him back, Zenitsu still adamant that Nezuko will be his wife in a typical moment of comic relief from such a tense atmosphere, the strained atmosphere melts away.
We then move across, Tanjiro is delighted to see Kanao is alive and well and then to Yushiro, who is hugging Tamayos hair pin, even he is delighted to see Tanjiro is alive and reports to whats left to Tamayo that they have finally defeated Muzan.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon slayer chapter 204 Predictions:
in terms of kimetsu no yaiba 204 Predictions, Now we’ve come to the end of an amazing story, surely one of the legendary titles that will go down as a classic that will be remembered for generations to come, there isn’t really much left to predict. In kny 204 Tanjiro can go back home with Nezuko now, his family spirit can be laid to rest easy now, and generations to come can live in peace as a new, demon free era dawns upon the world. Giyuu has one arm, but I see him still staying as a Hashira, probably to wipe out any last demons that exist, Zenitsu can go to his masters grave and tell him the legendary tale of how “he” defeated Muzan, Inosuke will probably just live in the mountains as a wild man and the demon corps can finally be disbanded now their battle has ended.

finally, a happy well deserved ending that we’ve been waiting for a long time. Still, we’ll have to wait an extra week as the Golden week is taking place in Japan next week.
