Hey Guys! We are going to discuss Chapter 199 of Kimetsu No Yaiba in this post. As usual, this post will contain heavy spoilers. So please turn back if you don’t want to be spoiled.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon slayer chapter 198 Recap (spoilers) :
This week sees another very exciting chapter of Demon Slayer. This Chapter starts with those at the Butterfly estate and Rengoku senior praying and the Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro trio attacking Muzan. Zenitsu has been getting some seriously good character development and this chapter continues that trend. Tanjiro has come back into battle after stabbing himself last chapter and is attacking Muzan with the Dance of the Fire God. After chapters of lying injured, Kanroji makes an awesome come back this chapter by coming in and ripping off one of Muzan’s tentacles.
It was great to see Kanroji in action finally. As I predicted in the earlier post, Muzan undergoes another terrifyingly gross transformation in this Chapter. Tanjiro is about to by the newly formed gigantic Muzan mouth when Obanai steps in the front to save him. His fate is left unknown. Sanemi also finally enters the fray by helping to pin Muzan down and telling everyone to hold him down and the chapter ends as we get a glimpse of the rising sun. Nezuko is not seen in this Chapter.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon slayer chapter 198 PREDICTIONS :
Now, with the sun rising this chapter, it’s clear that we are just a few chapters away from the manga’s ending. And it’s exciting to see all of the remaining slayers help pin down Muzan. Muzan, as we know, is now very desperate to escape and is pulling out all the tricks he has. Gyomei and Giyu are yet to enter the battle after getting their injuries treated and I am sure we’ll see them in the next Chapter. We might also get to see Nezuko again soon. Now that she’s human, one may wonder why she’s at the battlefront. And the answer to that might be a grim one. As I have been noting in previous posts, Demon Slayer is very different from the usual Shonen mangas in that the protagonist is not always in the spotlight nor is he above the story.
Goutoge never shies away from killing fan favorites and I think Tanjiro won’t be spared even though he’s the protagonist and he’ll probably die with his dear sister at his side. This fight has not seen any significant characters die yet. I am sure with all the injuries, most of the slayers will die with Obanai probably being the first to fall given that he just went face first into Muzan’s huge mouth. The sun’s finally rising. So Muzan is probably going to die in the next couple of Chapters until he pulls a Kars and all hope then would be lost. The next chapter, that is, Chapter 199 of Demon Slayer could very well be one of the final five chapters as the Muzan fight is nearing its endgame.
