One Piece Chapter 973 Discussion :
Chapter 973 essentially established what we already knew showing the fallout of Oden’s death with the scabbards scattering, Kin’emon and the others being sent to the future and Toki revealing the prophecy.
The chapter finally confirmed that Kyoshiro is actually Denjiro as people speculated from his katana and further revealed that he knew that Komurasaki was Hiyori the princess all along with both of them were working together. This further confirmed that her death from chapter 941 was likely to be faked and that she is still alive.
One Piece 974 Predictions :
Following the previously discussed predictions,
The traitor which tipped Orochi off on the Scabbards plan has yet to be revealed but given the amount of information that is being leaked and it is likely to be one of the Scabbards. With this in mind using elimination it would be fairly easy to make a guess on who it might be.
- Denjiro was withholding relevant information and protecting the princess throughout Orochi’s reign from him hence making him not a suspect.
- Kawamatsu was already imprisoned by Orochi making him not a suspect.
- Nekomamushi, Inurarashi, and Raizo had escaped to Zou and still were actively loyal to the Kozuki family throughout.
- Kikunojo was still actively opposing Orochi from the moment she was introduced
- Kin’emon himself has been guarding momosuke throughout his journey
- Ashura Doji has actively attempted to kill Kaidou’s subordinate Jack and has been stealing from them
That simply leaves Kanjuro as the last possible suspect, with his devil fruit ability he would be able to consistently and discreetly send information to Orochi without anybody noticing. Whilst the evidence is circumstantial the fact there is a traitor has been confirmed and the possible suspects are few and far between thus leaving Kajuro remaining.

General key points to focus on regarding the upcoming Great War
Oda himself has confirmed that the upcoming war will make the Battle of Marineford look like child’s play. Here are some key reminders on things to look forward to in the upcoming battle:
- The world government has finally decided to disband the Shichibukai system, the fact they’re willing to make all these powerful pirates hostile enemies implies that they already have a countermeasure in play which is likely to be the SSG led by Vegapunk though not much is known about them yet.
- Kaidou and Big Mom have formed an alliance that is unprecedented in the history of the Yonko hence upsetting the balance of the New World completely.
- Something happened to Sabo during the Reverie and show in chapter 956 likely implying something went wrong with the revolutionaries plan then.
- Lastly, Blackbeard was last seen trying to recruit Gecko Moria to join his crew, with the disbanding of the Shichibukai he will likely try to further this goal of expanding his crew.
With this, the power balance held by the Three Great Powers is completely shattered and the entire world is likely to be pulled into this great war.
