Black Clover Chapter 249 Discussion:
Feels like forever since the last chapter…….even though it was only two weeks. This time i the focus on Leopold Vermillion, little brother to Fuegoleon and Mereoleona Vermillion. Basically a lot of pressure to be great when you have two of the most OP characters in the Kingdom for siblings. And that seems to be the focus of this chapter, with the Fire Spirit Guardian Floga off-screened and Leo having to face off with the one who delivered said off-screening; Dark Disciple Sivoir with his Eyeball Magic. No it’s not the Sharingan, this dude produces multiple eyes that scout out the target and then deliver condensed mana “bullets” to essentially snipe the enemy. And Leo is taking a fair share of damage. But then comes any protag’s back-up plan; flashback-o-clock. Ah the classic Remember the training I went through and all the nakama and boom I got this now. OK cynical as that sounds it’s a trope for a reason, when it’s well done it’s good. And this was sufficient, it wasn’t as overdone or as forced as it can be so gets the job done. Then we see just what that training had resulted in; basically a gigantic f**k off fire circle that essentially nukes the entire area, burning up all the eyes and turning Sivoir into Sunday Roast. Once the physical roasting is over the linguistic roasting follows up that is in essence talk sh*t get shot.
This was a good read, as I said at the beginning it feels like forever since the last chapter so it’s nice to get back to it. I’ve always liked Leo, he never cared that Asta was a peasant and immediately befriended him. During the finale of the Elf Saga he pushed himself and it was clear he was close to a breakthrough so seeing it finally come to fruition was very satisfying.
Black Clover Chapter 250 Predictions:
Admittedly my predicitions haven’t changed much since last time; Vanica will likely face off with Noelle, Gaja and Loropechika. Of the Four Disciples, two are left; String Guy and Hair Guy (Yes I will keep using those names till we actually meet them). Only Mimosa and Charmy are left, and seeing as Hair Guy took out Potrof my guess is Charmy will face them, so Mimosa is likely to face String Guy. The question now is who will go next, Charmy or Mimosa. Seeing as both are fairly major characters who will both have likely multi-chapter fights, it’s hard to guess who will go first. As it’s a 50/50 guess……I’m gonna go with Mimosa off the top of my head. But eh only a week to find out.
