CloverWorks (DARLING in FRANXX, PERSON 5) is producing the anime, with the main character designer Takeshi Takeuchi (Fate anime franchise). Toshifumi Akai (assistant director DARLING at FRANXX) directs the series, with assistant director Miyuki Kuroki director of The Idolm @ ster SideM). Tomoaki Takase (Ocultic; nine, Saekano) is the character designer. Keita Haga (Fate / stay night song lyrics) and Ryo Kawasaki (Fate / Grand Order: First Order) are composing the music. Unison Square Garden make up the song for the Opening «Phantom Joke».

Caldea is an organization established to observe the magical world and that of science, in addition to preventing the end of humanity.
