What’s up guys? Chainsaw man dropped it’s latest new chapter this week and it looks like this is the beginning of all the ominous predictions coming true as we have seemingly lost a main character. Read on to find out what happened in this chapter and what might happen in Chainsaw man 80 but please make sure that you’ve caught up with the manga before reading on!
Chainsaw Man chapter 79 Discussion:
This is undoubtedly one of the most emotional chapters that Chainsaw man ever brought out. The chapter starts with Denji battling a Gun Devil controlled Aki and trying to prevent him from killing more people. Aki is in no mood to back down and keeps on attacking while a crowd gathers around Denji and asks him to protect them. One guy goes as far as to make a cut on his hand and give Denji blood to help him fight.
Denji is in a dilemma as to what to do with Aki as he’s not in control but the Gun Devil is. Realizing that the only way to stop him is to kill him, Denji goes for the kill. Aki meanwhile has lost his mind and is envisioning a snowball fight with Denji when he sees Denji starting to cry. He also notes that this was the first time that he’s ever seen Denji cry. Soon, Aki’s brother comes calling and takes him away to play catch. Parallel to this, in the real world, we see a crying Denji kill Aki as a last resort to save the others as the future devil watches on and muses that Aki’s death was worse, for Denji.This was an extremely emotional chapter because we see Denji cry for his colleague which he said he never would do.
Himeno’s words come back to haunt in this chapter,in a sense. Aki was incredibly lucky that he had people to cry for him. Also notable is the fact that Aki didn’t actually have a brutal death because he was not in control of his body at the time of his death. The brutality of the death was reserved for Denji who unfortunately had to cause the death too. Aki went out in peace, playing catch with his brother.
This marks the end for one of the 3 main characters in the manga and this chapter could very well be the turning point of the manga and also cause some character development for Denji. There’s also the possibility that he could turn against Makima and ally with the likes of Kishibe because it was basically Makima due to whom Aki got possessed in the first place.
CHAINSAW MAN 80 Spoilers & Predictions:
Chainsaw man 80 will deal with the aftermath of Aki’s death. This is the first time that Denji has truly lost somebody close to him and it will be interesting to see how this helps him develop. Chainsaw man 80 will also probably address what happened to the Gun Devil and if it will possess and ultimately kill Power too in accordance with the future devil’s prediction.
This is a confusing situation as Aki made a contract with Makima to protect both Denji and Power so there’s a small chance that Power is spared from the prophecy. The Gun Devil was always touted as the big bad of the series so it’s highly probable that he’s not dead right now and is planning to possess or has already possessed somebody else in the mean time.
